Chief Technology Officer (Head Office)
Requirements
I. Sound understanding of business fundamentals from an ISP or telecom perspective
II. Fixed and wireless telecommunications industry experience, preferably from more than one operator
III. Demonstrated ability to interpret technology and market trends as a foundation for technology roadmaps
IV. Experience in designing and implementing Data Centers is beneficial
Key Deliverables: Within six months the CTO will
1. Assess the current situation of the logical and physical infrastructure and recommend changes to meet the high uptime demand
2. Assess and recommend changes to the physical infrastructure set up and data centers for scalability, resilience, and robustness
3. Improve the time to deploy networks in new locations by 50% by recommending changes to process, technology, and people
4. Assess the current technical capability of the team and design and develop a training plan, career framework, and career path for continuous growth and up-gradation of the team
5. Review all SOP and recommend changes to address gaps in processes
Responsibilities
1. Reporting to the CEO, the CTO will be responsible for planning and deploying proven technology, network infrastructures
ensuring enhanced service experience, coverage, and uptime
2. Create and execute a long-term technology vision and forward-thinking capability development across all dimensions of
the business
3. Responsible for effective management and capacity building of technical resources as well as designing and deploying
world-class processes
4. Develops and directs all networking safeguards to reduce the risk of breaches of information
5. Conducting research to remain up-to-date on industry trends and emerging technologies
